Help Jennifer After Life-Changing Injury.

My wife Jennifer Torres will turn 50 this year. Until May, she was a hardworking mother who cleaned houses and created beautiful floral arrangements—funeral flowers, wedding pieces, and the big high school mums that are such a Texas tradition. She poured her energy into providing for our family and making meaningful things with her hands.

That all changed after a spinal injection procedure that did not go as planned. The complications left her with significant disability. Jennifer can no longer walk independently. She currently uses a walker and is progressing to the point where she will likely need a wheelchair or scooter. Everyday movement has become a major challenge.

Because of her condition, Jennifer is no longer able to work. We have lost her income at the same time we are facing rising medical expenses, the cost of making our home accessible, and the ongoing bills that don’t stop just because life has changed.

Our children are feeling this too. Ceana (14) and Maverick (8) live with us and are adjusting to a very different daily life with their mom. Our oldest, Jenna (19), and her boyfriend Kevin are also affected as our whole family tries to support Jennifer and adapt.
