Devoted Special Ed Teacher in Crisis- Please HELP

Alisha Raymond is a devoted special education teacher who goes above and beyond for every student, teacher, and family she meets. Now, after surviving four catastrophic organ failures, she needs our help. While her medical team finally has a plan to keep her safe and working, insurance covers very little of her essential care.

Financial Need Breakdown:

Medical Alert Service Dog ($15,000): Trained to detect dangerous chemical and vital sign shifts before emergencies occur, allowing her to keep teaching and living independently.

Specialized Genetic Testing ($4,000): Required diagnostic testing already paid out of pocket due to insurance denials.

Mobility Equipment (>$7,000): Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and braces deemed "non-essential" by insurance, but required by her doctors to continue working and leaving home.

Ongoing Treatment & Therapies: Preventative care to stop further organ damage, bringing total anticipated out-of-pocket costs to ~$75,000 this year.

Existing Medical Debt: Over $100,000 accumulated from years of emergency care, treatments, and hospice.

To add to these challenges, Alisha’s family is also navigating the emotional strain of their oldest daughter receiving residential treatment following a severe psychiatric crisis.

Alisha has spent years being the village for countless families—now she needs our help. Every dollar raised goes directly toward her medical equipment, treatment, and debt. You can also send to @Alisha-Raymond or $AlishaRaymond8 If you cannot donate at this time, sharing this page or leaving a message of encouragement can shift the scale. Thank you for supporting someone who gives so much to others.
