Habit of Hope Challenge: Week 9 (A Hope That Remains – Reflecting, Rejoicing, and Renewing)

Posted by Alex Shipley on Aug 23, 2025

You made it—Week 9!

Sixty days ago or maybe even just recently, you said yes to something simple but powerful: practicing the habit of sharing hope. And look at what’s happened—you’ve prayed, served, given, loved, and shown Jesus to the world in small and big ways. That matters.

Whether you completed every mission or just a handful, the real test isn’t the checklist—it’s what happens next. What will you carry into your everyday life? Because this was never just about finishing a challenge. It was about building a lifestyle.

Here’s the truth:
  • Our world is hurting.
  • People are desperate for kindness, compassion, and love.
  • And most of all, they need the hope of Jesus.

These 60 days have been training—preparing you to live differently. To see people. To notice needs. To step out boldly and sacrifice in ways that make the love of Christ visible.

And now? We pause. We celebrate. We reflect. And then—we keep going.

If you STILL haven’t joined the challenge, there’s still time to finish off these last few days with us!

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him..."
—Romans 15:13

What Now?

Day 60 isn’t the finish line—it’s the launchpad.

These 60 days were meant to train your eyes to see needs, your heart to respond, and your hands to act. The habit you’ve started is the foundation for a lifestyle of sharing hope in a world desperate for it.
  • Keep looking for needs you can step into.
  • Keep praying bold prayers for your friends, family, and neighbors.
  • Keep living generously, even when it costs you something.
  • Keep shining the hope of Jesus wherever you go.

Because the world doesn’t need another “challenge.” It needs people willing to live as daily hope-bearers.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” —Psalm 28:7

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” —Romans 12:12

So keep going. Keep living what you’ve practiced. The seeds you’ve planted matter. The prayers you’ve prayed matter. The hope you’ve shared matters. This isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of a lifestyle that points the world to the only true source of hope: Jesus.
