Help Anne Rebuild Her Life After Stroke

There are people who cross your path for a season, and then there are people who become family.

That’s who Anne is to us.

We met Anne on X while sharing our family’s journey of seeking refuge in America. She could have simply wished us well and moved on, but instead she reached out, started a conversation, and over time became one of our closest friends. Though we’ve never met face to face, Anne has loved us like family.

Anne has one of the biggest hearts we’ve ever known.

She loves Jesus with her whole heart, and that love shines through in everything she does. Whether life is easy or incredibly difficult, Anne has an amazing ability to find joy. Even during hospital stays, she would crack little jokes to make us smile. In moments when most people would feel overwhelmed, Anne would cling to God’s Word, sharing Scripture and reminding those around her that God is still faithful.

Despite living with a serious heart condition and having undergone brain surgery a few years ago, Anne never stopped serving others.

She would get up before sunrise to prepare for yard sales and fundraisers. She organized a car wash, reached out to her church, asked people to pray for us, and worked tirelessly to help raise money so our family could buy a vehicle when we arrive in America. She poured out her time, strength, and love for a family living thousands of miles away—people she had never even met in person.

Anne even went as far as creating this very GiveSendGo campaign. Her dream was to surprise us by launching it to help our family get back on our feet when we arrived in America. Tragically, before she ever had the chance to publish it, everything changed.

One weekend, we didn’t hear from Anne at all. That was completely unlike her, and we knew something was wrong.

The following week, we finally heard from her from a hospital bed.

Anne had suffered a devastating stroke that left the entire left side of her body paralyzed.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, the campaign she created to help us has now become the campaign we are using to help her.

Now, the woman who has spent so much of her life lifting others up is facing the biggest battle of her own. She urgently needs rehabilitation and ongoing medical care, but her insurance has refused to cover the treatment she desperately needs. The medical bills are growing, and without rehabilitation, her chances of regaining independence become even more difficult.

Today, we’re asking for help for someone who has spent her life helping everyone else.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward Anne’s medical expenses and rehabilitation, giving her the best possible chance to recover and regain the life she loves. If you’re unable to give, we ask that you please share her story and, most importantly, keep Anne in your prayers.

Galatians 6:2 tells us, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Anne has carried the burdens of so many people with love, faith, and unwavering generosity. She has always been the first to give, the first to pray, and the first to encourage others.

Now it’s our turn to stand beside her.

The fundraiser Anne created out of love for our family has become a fundraiser for hers.
