Help Tony Rebuild After the Loss of Yolanda

On September 13, 2026, I lost my beautiful wife, Yolanda, after her nearly six-year battle with colon cancer.

For more than 27 years, she was my best friend, my confidant, and my partner in everything. We were together 24/7 and wouldn’t have had it any other way. Every day, we told each other, “Love you to the moon and back.”

Now I am learning how to get through a day without the person I shared every part of it with.

I cannot put a dollar amount on losing Yolanda. But I can explain the financial burden that remains—and why I need help.

Throughout her illness, we devoted our resources, time, and energy to giving her the best care we could. There were treatments, major surgeries, emergency procedures, hospital stays, and increasingly demanding care at home. Cancer eventually spread to her liver and lungs.

Behind every appointment was a family trying to hold on to someone we loved.

The cost extended far beyond medical bills. There were medications, transportation, travel, caregiving expenses, and lost income while I stayed by her side. Our savings and retirement funds were depleted. We sold or lost vehicles, our family RV, watercraft, and our beach house as the financial pressure grew.

I would have chosen to be beside her again. I only wish we had been given more time.

Yolanda was also a mother, a grandmother known as “Lita,” and an English literature teacher whose influence followed her long after students left her classroom. Over the years, former students would stop us in restaurants, at theme parks, and in the most unexpected places to tell her what she had meant to them. We counted 67 who told us she had inspired them to become teachers.

That was Yolanda. She made people feel seen. She gave them confidence. She brought joy into ordinary days.

Her life deserves to be remembered for all she gave. This fundraiser is about helping me meet the obligations left behind and find a way forward.

Alongside the financial consequences of her illness, I continue to face mounting legal expenses from what I have experienced as lawfare. These costs have placed additional pressure on an already exhausted financial situation.

I also need to maintain ongoing security and cover travel to Washington, DC, and other locations connected to my work.

As an intelligence analyst and entrepreneur, my work focuses on strategic intelligence, cybersecurity, and issues affecting American security and sovereignty. I want to continue that work while rebuilding my ability to support myself and addressing the debts accumulated during Yolanda’s illness.

Asking for help is difficult. For years, my focus was getting Yolanda through the next treatment, the next surgery, the next difficult night. Now I am facing the aftermath, and I cannot carry all of it alone.
