My name is William, and I’m asking for help during the hardest season our family has ever faced.

My wife Jennifer worked as an LPN at a local nursing and rehab facility. She loved helping others, but the conditions became so unsafe — chronic understaffing and neglect — that staying meant risking her nursing license. She reported the issues and ultimately made the hard choice to leave. Since then, she has been picking up PRN shifts wherever she can, but available shifts have been scarce.

My own story is one of sacrifice and rebuilding. I stepped away from my new career as a graphic designer during COVID to stay home and raise our daughter. Returning to that field in our rural area has proven nearly impossible. In the meantime, I’ve been doing everything I can to bring in income selling on Amazon, Etsy, and other platforms, and doing gig delivery work through Walmart Spark and Amazon Flex. Recently our main vehicle began having serious mechanical issues, making even that more difficult. I am now actively pursuing my CDL so I can provide a stable income for our family long-term.

This is not a situation we ever imagined we’d be in. We are hardworking people who have always paid our bills and taken care of our family. But life doesn’t always go according to plan, and right now we need a little help to bridge the gap.

What we need:

We are trying to raise $7,870.82 to cover our overdue mortgage payments and property taxes and keep our family in our home while Jennifer and I continue working toward stable employment. Every dollar goes directly toward that goal, nothing more, nothing less.

Why it matters:

Scarlett is 10 years old. This is the only home she has ever known. Her room, her school, her friends and everything familiar to her is here. We are fighting with everything we have to make sure she doesn’t lose that stability. She has excelled in her current school and is in gifted and talented classes and she loves performing plays with the local art center.

We have already cut every expense we can, applied for assistance program's and reached out to our church and family. This campaign is our last resort, and we are humbled to even be asking.
