The Day Everything Changed

On June 19, 2023, my life took a turn I never saw coming. On my way home from work, I fell asleep at the wheel and rolled my car. I survived, but I sustained a severe spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the neck down.

In an instant, I went from a hard-working man on his way home to a quadriplegic facing a completely new reality.

The Current Hurdle

I’ve been home for nearly a year and a half now, but "home" is an RV. While I am grateful for a roof over my head, the space is too confined for my needs. Because of the narrow layout, I am currently limited to my bed. I have an electric power wheelchair that represents my independence, but I can’t even turn it on inside. Being bed-bound for 18 months has been one of the hardest parts of this journey. I’m ready to move again.

The Goal: A Space to Breathe

I am raising funds to purchase and convert a small shed into a livable, accessible home. This isn't just about four walls; it’s about:

Mobility: Having the floor space to finally use my power wheelchair.

Access: Being able to exit my home independently to drive around the yard.

Quality of Life: Transitioning from staring at a ceiling to enjoying the fresh air and life as it’s meant to be lived.
