It is with great excitement to announce that Worship Quest will be heading to Pakistan again this spring with a team to lead our next Worship Quest Academy retreat in the country and teach music and worship for Christian conferences and training events in partnership with the Pakistan based Tehillim School of Church Music and Worship.
Of course, the first question you may have is “why Pakistan?” And, “is it safe to go there?” Pakistan is a Muslim country. Christianity is legal, but only 1.7% of the country are Christians, and a large percentage of those claim Christianity as more of a heritage (parents and grandparents are Christian, therefore I am Christian) rather than as an active relationship with Jesus. This makes discipleship such an extremely important element of our ministry. Because persecution of Christians in Pakistan is common, and they are second-class citizens because of their faith in Jesus Christ, it is important for Pakistani Christians to truly understand their faith and put their complete trust in Jesus Christ. Our ministry in Pakistan will be to encourage our brothers and sisters in the Lord to live their lives in wholehearted worship and devotion to the Lord and to mentor pastors and worship leaders as they learn better how to lead their congregations in worship.
This is a team effort and we are personally asking YOU to be a part of our team through prayer and possibly, if the Lord leads, through financial support.
First and foremost, we need your prayers. Please see the prayer requests below..
Your prayers are our greatest need, however, we also need help financially. The cost for our team to get to Pakistan for this trip is $16,000. We have already raised most of the funds to pay for the Worship Quest Academy retreat (this includes lodging, food, travel, and retreat materials for the 75 pastors and worship leaders attending the retreat).
This cost ($16,000) covers travel expenses (international and domestic), provisions (food and lodging), and other miscellaneous expenses for the Worship Quest Academy leadership team. Our team for this trip includes:
Steven Brooks (Director of Worship Quest Ministries)
Eric Sarwar (Pakistan Director of Worship Quest Academy)
Andrew Braine (President of Worship Resource Media and Worship Quest Ministries Board Member)
David Ward (worship pastor)
Ed LaLonde (associate pastor)
Robin LaLonde (prayer ministry leader)
Thank you for your partnership with us as we spread the gospel around the globe.
