Assalaam aleykum, dear brothers and sisters.

I have shared before about our sister Pam, a 61-year-old revert Muslim woman who was kicked out of her elderly, non-Muslim mother's home back in October 2022. She was also disowned by 4 of her 5 daughters. Only the oldest daughter is Muslim and has been helping as much as she can to keep Pam out of a homeless shelter.

With the help of the community, Pam was able to get into a tiny home on a piece of land which she and her daughter and son-in-law were able to purchase. The daughter, A., and her husband, M. (also a revert brother of about 5 years now), own their own home improvements business which has had more downs than ups lately.

They have been struggling to keep on top of things and have barely been able to just make the payments every month, not to mention enough for groceries and gas. Because they work an hour and a half away, they are only able to be with Pam on weekends and tend to her needs and do whatever they can in a weekend on the property, which sometimes doesn't amount to much, especially if it's rainy.

Because of how slow things are progressing, along with their work pace, A. and M. have been staying in a tent on the property.

And now, to add to all their troubles, their only vehicle - the one they use to go back and forth to look after Pam (who doesn't have a vehicle, either) as well as their only transportation to and from work - has broken down!

Allah tells us to want for our brothers what we want for ourselves and that whatever we give in charity does not diminish anything from our wealth. In shaa Allah, I hope we can raise enough money to get this Muslim family back on their feet and show them what true community looks like.

May Allah raise the ranks of each one of you! And I hope we can reach our financial goal as soon as possible. Jazakum Allahu kheyrun!
