This Fundraiser is to aid a friend, Michaela, and her retired service dog, Cara. Cara is a very small dog that provides needed comfort for anxiety, but Michaela faces a financial strain. Cara has an infection in her jaw caused by rotting teeth, despite Michaela providing her the best dental hygiene regimine for a dog. She has tried to combat tooth decay with all vet-recommended products and at-home methods, but the infection had taken hold when Cara was not in her owner's care. This infection will significantly shorten Cara's expected lifespan, and place her in terrible pain to the point that she won't eat. Cara is only nine years old and should have many more years to live, but, because of her tiny size, a heart murmur, and being much smaller than average in weight, Cara could could be at high risk to undergo anesthesia for the teeth pulling procedure. On top of this, the finances for this procedure hinder Michaela's plans to allow herself and her dog to return home to Ireland. These funds will go directly to Michaela and are to cover the cost of a cardiologist to check that Cara's heart is strong enough to go through the procedure, and the teeth procedure itself. As well as funds, prayers are greatly appreciated.
