The Vastine’s are adopting! They are approved and waiting for placement as of April 15, 2026!

Austen and Melanie met in May of 2013 and were married December 9, 2016. When they started dating, both expressed they hoped to adopt someday in addition to having kids biologically. For Austen, spiritual adoption was modeled in his family along with a deep understanding of God adopting His children through Jesus' sacrifice. Melanie was adopted as an infant as was her brother. This, along with being conceived by rape, resulted in her being passionately pro-life and pro-adoption. Austen and Melanie have been called by the Lord to continue the adoption legacy, as modeled by Christ adopting us as sons and daughters, and start their family through adoption (Ephesians 1:5). 

The Vastine’s are adopting through Lifeline Children’s Services and are part of their domestic infant program. Lifeline is a birth mother focused ministry and as adoptive parents they want to not only care for a baby, but support the baby’s birth mother making the decision to carry and birth the baby and place them into Austen and Melanie's family. They will walk alongside the birth mother and her loved ones for a lifetime.

Please join us in supporting Austen and Melanie as they build their family through adoption. They have hoped to be parents since the day they were married and have been trusting the Lord to bring them their children ever since.

Through this process, we are asking for you to partner with them both in prayer and financially. We are believing the Lord in raising $60,000 to cover agency fees, legal fees, and travel fees that come along the way as they will likely be adopting a baby out of state. In addition to funding here, they will be applying for various grants once they are home study approved.
