Hello everyone!  With some members of my church, I have been called to go on a missions trip to Central Asia (click here for Central Asia info)  on June 20-27, 2026.

My church, New Hyde Park Baptist Church supports some missionary field workers in Central Asia, however, their exact location cannot be disclosed to ensure their safety, as workers are not welcome in that country.  Central Asia is a region of incredible beauty and deep spiritual need. Field workers in the area often work in isolation, facing significant cultural and spiritual challenges.

Their sending organization, Global Serve International (GSI),  is having a conference in Kyrgyzstan which will include all of their  field workers from the various countries in that  region.   I will be joining them to provide child care and prayer support for the field workers while they are at their conference.  

We will have an approximately 20 hour plane flight with a layover or possibly two.  The flights have not yet been purchased, but the estimated cost is between $1,000 to $1500. 

We will be staying in shared rooms at the conference center, and will be paying our own way regarding room and board.  That cost is expected to be $550 for room and board per person for the entirety of the four days we will be there.

Stewardship note: In the spirit of team unity, any surplus funds raised beyond my goal will be used to support other workers on the team to ensure everyone reaches the field. Any remaining surplus after that will be gifted directly to the work being done on the ground in Central Asia.
