Our Story

On May 30, my sister experienced sudden, life-threatening complications during her pregnancy. What began as severe anemia and jaundice quickly became a medical emergency.

Despite every effort made by the medical team, her twin daughters tragically passed away during delivery.

Before our family could even begin to grieve the unimaginable loss of the babies, my sister’s condition rapidly worsened. She was rushed into intensive care, where she has remained ever since, fighting for her life.

Her Medical Condition

Doctors diagnosed her with HELLP Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening complication of pregnancy that caused multiple organs to fail and led to severe internal bleeding.

She has endured:

1. Multi-organ failure: Her liver and kidneys stopped functioning before and during delivery.
2. Severe internal bleeding: HELLP Syndrome caused her platelet count to drop dangerously low, preventing her blood from clotting. At one point, she was losing blood at an alarming rate of approximately two units every hour.
3. Four emergency surgeries: She underwent four major operations within just a few days to locate and stop the internal bleeding.
4. Massive blood transfusions: She has received more than 60 units of blood, plasma, and platelets in an effort to keep her alive.
5. Critical care: She remains in the ICU on a ventilator to help her breathe and is receiving continuous dialysis because of kidney failure.

Why We Need Your Help

Our family is doing everything we can, but the medical expenses continue to grow every day. The cost of emergency surgeries, intensive care, dialysis, ventilator support, medications, blood products, and ongoing treatment has become overwhelming.

Her estimated medical expenses are approximately $40,000 USD, and the costs continue to increase as she remains in critical condition.

We are heartbroken. We have already suffered the unimaginable loss of our precious twin girls, and we cannot bear the thought of losing my sister as well.
