Tony Pearl was many things.

He loved cooking—dancing in the kitchen and playing drums along the rim of the sink. He was energetic and generous and entirely stubborn. He was a connoisseur of du-rags and creative t-shirts. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend.

Tony started to feel poorly a few weeks ago, and while this man hated to ask for help—he did reach out to his doctor…hoping for a diagnosis and medical care. Tony’s health insurance provider twice denied him access to critical diagnostic tests.

In the early morning hours of New Year’s Eve, Tony began to suffer multiple cardiac incidents and called 911. After an hours-long battle, Tony passed away without ever receiving the diagnostic tests necessary to identify exactly what had happened to cause these cardiac incidents in the first place.

As a family, we are struggling to understand what happened to this strong, obstinate, and otherwise healthy man. We are hoping to combine our resources to help pay for the tests necessary to hopefully provide some answers.

In lieu of flowers, the family is hoping some may choose to donate to this campaign to help pay for Tony’s diagnostic tests and memorial expenses.

We will all miss Tony fiercely. His family would like to thank everyone from the bottom of their hearts for their support and prayers during this difficult time.

As Tony would say,

make it a good day all

peace.
