Homero is a young 44 year old man who has a big heart to help others. He is a father of 2 young boys.  I have known him since he was 6 years old.  Homero has often been the man accompanying me on the highway in Mexico so that I arrive safely to work on Bible translation with the Mayo people of Southern Sonora and Northern Sinaloa.  He has been very ill for some time.  They found he had colorectal cancer   Most of the doctors felt there was nothing that could be done. Homero found a surgeon who was willing to fix him, but he needed to come up with the funds ahead of the surgery.  His social insurance would not cover him in the private hospital the surgeon could do it in. Since waiting was not a good option he had to find a way to borrow the money.  Surgery was done on February 7th.  A colostomy was put in but there is hope that in 4 weeks they can do another surgery and put him back together.  I am raising $10,000 dollars of the large amount he needs.  His church and family members are trying to raise the rest.  Please help Homero raise the funds so he can pay back the loan for this first surgery and continue to live for many more years.
