Children and teens thrive most when they are safe. By giving toward this campaign you are helping to provide children and families touched by adopted and foster care a predictable and nurturing environment where they can learn and heal from trauma.

Established in 2009, Miriam's Heart is a New Jersey non-profit that radically supports children who have been adopted or in foster care and their families. In 2015, we created a strategic plan that included a long-term goal to find a permanent place for our headquarters. We have completed all other aspects of our plans. We have a unique opportunity to purchase our current building with generous and favorable conditions from the seller. We have already been approved for building updates through Both Hands Foundation. We want to move forward in wisdom and would like to raise funds so we can offset out-of-pocket expenses on the purchase and mitigate holding large debts. This campaign will allow us to continue to focus on helping more kids and families in a space devoted to creating a predictable and welcoming environment.

Our goal is to raise these funds as a downpayment on the purchase of a building. We are hopeful to stay where we are and make building repairs and improvements to the first floor while remaining operational on the second floor (where we are already currently located). As with all real estate transactions, we anticipate some uncertainty, but we have created this specific campaign to allow us a benchmark to measure whether we should purchase our location.*

This project will help us to budget and plan for our next phase of purchasing the building! We have set benchmarks to help us track our success and reach our goals! We have already raised $60000 toward this project and our goal is to raise a total of $205000. Additional funds raised will help with plans, permits, any required repairs, and building improvements

*It is possible that we will not be able to agree with our landlords, which would mean that any funds raised toward this campaign will be set aside for the purchase of another permanent location for Miriam's Heart.
