Hello Family and Friends,

Thank you for taking precious time to read this. There are so many people in need; making us ever more grateful for your prayers and financial support. I have created a Go-Fund-Me campaign to help my son and I get through this very challenging time of known and unknown costs, while also needing to land a new apartment while he is not working and I am establishing myself here in a new city.

As many of you know, a January 13th, predawn burglary at my son Shane’s apartment in Salt Lake City, has shaken our world. Stirred to react to protect his property, and attempt to stop the crime in action, Shane is now facing the consequences of that dire morning, with great sorrow and remorse, as well as with faith and courage.

Shane is a kind, sensitive, hardworking and responsible 23 year old. For the past three years Shane has been paying his own rent, living expenses and college and EMT courses. Moving westward in 2023, he has always landed good paying work and nice apartments, and made dear friends all while in pursuit of growing to be a better person, with the goal of becoming an EMT to support the community and area of the country he loves. Since October Shane had been working long late night shifts, 12 midnight to 12 noon, and was one week from his EMT exam.

For me, I’ve found myself uprooting from RI to UT, to be as near and able as possible to support my son, emotionally and spiritually, with long, daily calls, two weekly visits and nonstop prayers and reminders of God's mercy and his family and friend’s abounding love and support. Books, commissary funds and letters have all been given to Shane, to help him through this ordeal and our greatly appreciated.

The financial assistance from Give-Send-Go will be used for the known and unknown costs of his pre and post trial services. And to help with expenses as I build my massage and nutrition practice up from scratch here in the Salt Lake City area. I am also faced with needing to create a new, safe and spacious home for the two of us, as we are hoping for his release and pretrial detainment to be at home, and anxiously, and prayerfully await what is to come, entrusting in God’s will, and our own faith in the strength we have to bare whatever comes.

His father and family have been tremendously present and supportive in every way. Shane is thankful for the care shown to him and humbled beyond words.

May your worry become prayers for all souls everywhere to be embraced with God’s grace and mercy.
