This campaign was created by myself (Jennifer Altman) as her friend. 

 For months, Meredith has been the target of an ongoing and escalating online harassment campaign led by her former boyfriend, blogger Aidan Kearney (also knows as "Turtleboy). What began as a personal relationship that ended, has turned into something far more damaging.. Meredith has been repeatedly targeted on large online platforms, where false narratives about her have been pushed to thousands of followers.

The harassment has not stayed online. At his direction and encouragement, followers have contacted Meredith's employer, attempted to interfere with her professional life, and spread damaging claims about her. Others have targeted her family, including making disturbing posts about her daughter, harassing her parents and sibling, and attempting to involve outside agencies in her personal life.

The consequences of this sustained harassment have been severe. Meredith has suffered personal and professional harm and is now being forced to defend herself against further attempts by Turtleboy to escalate the situation through bogus legal channels.

While Meredith has done her best to remain strong and handle these matters responsibly, the reality is that defending oneself against harassment and unfounded allegations is expensive and time-consuming, especially given a recent setback caused by Aidan. This fundraiser is being created to help Meredith cover legal fees as she works to protect herself, her family, and her reputation.

More recently, the harassment has escalated even further. Strangers online have begun telling Meredith to harm herself and encouraging suicide in response to the false narratives being spread about her. Aidan has a long history of targeting individuals online, using his platform to bully and silence people until they're too scared to speak up. Meredith does not want to see this pattern continue.

Anyone who knows Meredith knows she is a hard working professional and devoted mother who never asked to be placed in this situation. Your support will help her stand up against harassment, defend herself properly, and move forward with her life.
