My sister, Lisa Prescott has been sick for quite a while and unfortunately, her health has recently deteriorated. In 2019, she was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC). A cancer that was highly treatable in about 95% of cases. After 50+ rounds of radiation, she beat SCC but the effects from radiation caused a myriad of other health complications. The radiation left scarring so bad that she required both a Ileostomy and urostomy, which have been complicated to manage due to the severity of her condition.

For the last 6 years, she’s been in and out of hospital, endured multiple procedures and surgeries and living with severe pain that will never subside.

She underwent emergency surgery on May 22, 2026 to reconstruct her intestines and bowel system after experiencing blockage that never repaired itself. We were initially told that the surgery failed however she's showing signs of improvement. If that continues, she will be able to return home once she recovers from surgery.

The bad news is, she's terminally ill. While we are grateful to have a little more time with Lisa, she understands that further surgery is not an option.

For now, she is still recovering from surgery and is receiving high doses of pain medication to keep her comfortable.

I’m heartbroken, but I’m focused on ensuring Lisa is surrounded by comfort, dignity, and love during this time. I’m also doing everything I can to support my nieces (2) and nephews (2) and her 1 year old grandson as they prepare for the challenges ahead.

They are facing challenges that have created financial hardship and uncertainty. As the only breadwinner, any interruption in her ability to provide has a profound impact on everyone who depends on her.

I am doing what I can to also provide financial help but the needs are greater than what I can manage alone.

I'm asking for your help to ease the burden on my sister and her family during this difficult time. Donations will help cover essential living expenses, including housing, utilities, food, and the everyday needs of my sister, her children and grandson.
