Support Adam As He Heals and Recovers

On May 17th, Adam suffered a stroke deep in the Basil Ganglia area of his brain. This typically affects one’s speech, motor skills, emotions, and more. Thanks to fast-acting doctors and nurses, he’s now started his journey at the inpatient rehabilitation program at the St. Cloud Hospital. They are known for their rehabilitation program with stroke patients! He is currently approved to be there until June 10th. After he graduates from this, he will be faced with months of outpatient rehabilitation, which will include 2-3 sessions weekly of OT, PT, speech therapy, etc.

Adam is that amazing dad who is only 43. He coaches his son AJ’s baseball and basketball teams, and he’s an avid outdoorsman—fishing, boating, and loves the cabin life. He is always busy and on the go! He loves to spend time with his wife, Kari, son, A.J., and his family!

Right now, he’s unable to work at the job he loves. He and his family could use all the support during his rehabilitation and his transition back to everyday life. If you can donate, it will directly fuel his recovery and support his family as they live through recovering from a stroke. If not, no worries, we will take all the prayers we can get! This is also a way for everyone to stay in the loop during the next few weeks and months!

We truly appreciate your support, prayers, and hope for Adam’s full recovery. Let’s show love and help him get back to all those things he loves!

Love,

Adam’s Family

5/28- Adam’s mobility in his left leg is really make some great progress with mobility! He was working hard to move that leg today. He took the most steps he has with the half walker he has been using. This walker is used with Adam’s right hand to support and stabilize himself as he gets up, walks, and sits down. The rehab center has really cool technology that is getting Adam’s muscles moving! His arm is able to move with stimulation to his muscles. This is the more challenging limb. We are praying that with time, more strength, and muscle memory, his mobility will increase in his arm too. Tomorrow, Adam’s care team will meet and discuss progress and a plan moving forward! Stay tuned!

Thanks for all your love, encouragement, support, and prayers! Adam is so very loved! Adam, Kari, AJ, and our whole family are so grateful for all of you!

Love,

Sarah (Adam’s sister)
