Star is home and in a safe place!! She is stable and on the road to recovery. We rushed her to 5 Rivers emergency 24 hour vet thinking she had been shot. The vet is willing to testify in court saying she wasn't hit by a car or shot but in fact suffered deliberate blunt force trauma to the forehead. They think its possible it was a hammer or heavy duty tool. Stars needing follow up visits and medications. Her initial bill was $4632.18. Her skull is severely fractured with many loose shard of skull floating in the wounded area. The vets at UT advise no further surgery because its more likely to kill her tampering than the potential benefits of a mesh lining. We are Praising God she is still with us, and can greatly appreciate any assistance yall feel in your hearts you can offer. We are in the latter portion of our first pregnancy and our funding for the birth was greatly depleted by this surprise experience. We are expecting a healthy baby Girl!

We are hopeful Star is going to be able to receive visitors come monday morning, she is wagging her tail again already! Our Goal of five thousand dollars will cover her initial visit and most of the medications she is on. Yall have touched our hearts with your prayers, which we know is the reason she pulled through. The vet couldn't believe she made it! Praise Gods mercy and generous loving kindness.

We love our home and our neighbors. We love our family and our Heavenly father. Our General store and chainsaw carving pit are and will continue to be Stars playground, but no more off leash potty breaks for this big love of ours.
