Critical Connection For Families Separated In Ukraine
Give the gift of connection! Starlink Mini internet so Ukrainian families can stay connected when power and networks fail.
When the power goes out in Ukraine, it isn’t just lights that disappear; it’s the ability to reach a spouse on the other side of town, or a spouse who is deployed to the front, to check if a child made it home, to call for help when the sirens start, just to send a message saying, “I’m okay.” In a life shaped daily by drones, jamming, and sudden outages, connection becomes a lifeline. This fundraiser is simple and URGENT: please provide Starlink Mini satellite internet units so families and volunteers can stay connected when cell networks fail, and “Are you safe?” can still be asked…and answered. Even during signal jamming and deployment, Starlink keeps Ukrainians online, and no other reliable option exists.
What is Starlink?
Starlink is a small, portable satellite device that provides high-speed internet almost anywhere on the globe. €250 covers the cost of one Starlink Mini. Purchasing the units in the EU saves about €100 per unit compared to local pricing. One unit can serve at least 10 people, and realistically more when shared. €100 = $116 USD
What’s the larger context?
In Ukraine, history isn’t just found in books; it’s brought to life through oral tradition and the very land. To understand why a simple internet unit matters, you have to understand the silence that has historically been forced upon this land.
In the 1930s, the Holodomor, a deliberate, Soviet-caused famine, claimed millions of lives. It succeeded because the world couldn't see it, and because families in each village often had no way of knowing their neighbors in the next village were also starving. Isolation was a primary weapon.
This is also a land of profound religious memory. Long before the modern era, Jewish life flourished in these towns, only to be met with the "Holocaust by Bullets." In the ravines and fields of Ukraine, entire communities were lost because there was no warning, no witness, and no way to call for help. The loss of that vibrant culture is a wound that has never fully healed.
Yet, through every wave of repression, faith has been the anchor. Whether in the Greek Catholic parishes of the West or the Orthodox cathedrals of the East, or synagogues throughout the country, the faith has served as more than an anchor; it has been a center for mutual aid and quiet resistance. It is where people gathered to survive when the state turned its back.
These histories are not abstract to me. They are a reminder that mass suffering begins with disconnection. When a family is cut off from the truth, or from each other, they are at their most vulnerable.
By providing Starlink units to the people of Ukraine, we aren't just providing additive technology; we are honoring a shared responsibility to ensure that darkness and silence never become weapons again. Today, the gift of technology is a way to affirm the dignity of each human person in the face of forces that depend on isolation.
Why I’m doing this:
This is personal for me. My roots trace back to Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region, specifically in a small village near the city of Mukachevo, and since 2018, I’ve spent extended time living in Ukraine. I hold temporary residency and intend to make it my long-term home. I’ve seen what it costs to endure day after day while trying to keep a family steady, and I’ve also seen how much a small, practical tool can mean when everything else feels uncertain. I’ve worked in senior fundraising and donor accountability roles in the U.S., and I’m bringing that same care here, quietly, responsibly, and with deep respect for the people who will receive this help.
Here’s how we’ll do it:
I’m coordinating with vetted volunteers in western Ukraine who are already delivering aid through established routes. We will purchase Starlink Minis in the EU (where they are significantly less expensive), transport them into Ukraine through existing volunteer-driver networks, and distribute them where they are most requested and most needed.
Every dollar raised will go only toward Starlink Mini units and delivery costs. I will fund the marketing costs; there will be no personal compensation. There is a very small payment processing fee. I will post updates as purchases and deliveries happen so you can see exactly what your support accomplished.
If you’re able to give, thank you. If you can’t, sharing this page and keeping stressed families, families under fire, in your prayers are also real gifts. Either way, you’re helping keep people connected to life and to one another when everything around them tries to pull them apart. Helping people stay connected to their families, to the truth, and to the world beyond their borders is how we affirm the value of a life. Across every generation and every faith that has called Ukraine home, we have seen what happens when people are silenced. This is our chance to make sure they are heard.
Accountability:
I am available for phone calls or emails to answer any questions you may have. I can explain the logistics, the process involved, and provide more information about the group I am raising money for. I will post updates throughout the entire process and remain available for questions.

Note:
This campaign is currently operated as a private fundraising effort.
I am in the early stages of forming a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on public education and humanitarian connectivity support related to Ukraine, as well as a registered legal entity in Ukraine to support on-the-ground operations.
At this time, donations are not tax-deductible. Funds raised through this campaign are processed and held by GiveSendGo, then stewarded directly by me and used solely for the purposes described in this campaign.
This page will be updated at each stage of the process.
