In 2021, Stephanie suffered a severe physician-confirmed reaction to the COVID-19 vaccine. Through hard work, she fought her way back to a mostly functional life.

After contracting COVID-19 in May of 2025, Stephanie’s health took a devastating turn, and she has never regained the progress she worked so hard to achieve. Over the past year, she has spent much of her life confined to her home—and often her bed—while on FMLA, unable to live the life she once knew.

Since then, Stephanie has accumulated a growing list of serious medical conditions, including polycythemia, coagulopathy, MCAS, POTS, immune dysregulation, autonomic dysfunction, viral persistence, and more. Most alarming is a recent diagnosis of Amyloid Fibrin Microclots, confirmed by a doctor. Amyloids in the blood refer to circulating abnormal, misfolded proteins that can accumulate and form harmful clumps in organs and tissues. They can impair blood flow and contribute to potentially life-threatening damage throughout the body, affecting vital organs and systems.

She has been approved for specialized treatment in Japan—treatment that is not currently available in the U.S. This represents her only chance to regain her health, restore her quality of life, and reclaim the future that has been slipping away from her.

The cost of treatment, international travel, lodging, and medical expenses is significant. Because Stephanie is too ill to travel alone, I will be accompanying her as her caretaker, adding additional travel costs that we simply cannot manage on our own.
