It all started innocently at the park. My 18-month-old son had his diaper bag stolen by a child, and in a moment of frustration, I approached the situation to get it back. Unfortunately, that decision spiraled into something I never could have anticipated. A man with a troubling background stalked me and recorded my every move, then posted those videos online for all to see. Within moments, our lives were turned upside down.

The fallout has been overwhelming. People online have reacted with a torrent of hate and threats against our family. Personal details, my Social Security Number, our home address, and even my phone number have been laid bare for anyone to see. We now find ourselves in a situation where we feel anything but safe in our own home.

Every day is filled with anxiety as I try to shield my young children from this horror. They’re too little to understand the fear that hangs over us like a dark cloud. The sleepless nights and constant worry are taking a toll on all of us and I can’t help but feel like I’m failing to protect them.
