My name is Marla, a 65-year-old senior who has dedicated my later years to rescuing dogs up for adoption.

I've adopted dogs with behavioral issues that make them hard to adopt due to their color, or behavorial issues that need support and training. I give them a safe place, love, and a chance at a better life.

Right now, I have 3 dogs under my care that need specialized food or training needs. With patience and intensive training, I've seen dogs transform — learning to trust again, walk calmly on a leash, and become loving companions.

The challenge I'm facing now is simple but critical: I need help providing consistent food and proper training support.

Dog food prices have skyrocketed, and with multiple large-breed or high-energy dogs, my fixed retirement income can't keep up. Quality training — whether basic obedience classes, positive reinforcement tools, or professional guidance for the more challenging rescues — is essential so these dogs can either find forever homes or live peacefully with me without stress or risk.

Every donation will go directly toward:

1. High-quality dog food and nutritional supplements
2. Training supplies (leashes, harnesses, clickers, crates for positive training)
3. Basic obedience or behavior sessions to help the dogs succeed
4. Emergency vet visits or preventive care as needed

I’m not asking for luxuries — just the basics to keep these dogs healthy, fed, and on the path to becoming well-behaved members of the family. Even $10 or $20 helps buy bags of food or a training tool that makes a real difference.

These dogs have already been through so much. With your help, I can continue giving them the dignity, care, and second chance they deserve — or help prepare the younger ones for loving homes.
