As some of you may know, I have been working towards finishing up my Masters degree in Pastoral counseling at Liberty University, and finishing up my counseling internship, for graduation in May. During the past few months God has really spoken to me and opened up my eyes to the many needs of others. I have seen people's hurts and struggles in repsonse to life, whether in my students or clients I counsel, and I see the difference God can make in people's lives through a willing servant.
As some of you may know, my love and passion has always been for teenagers and young adults, and through an amazing God driven chain of events, I have been accepted into the VIA - Volunteers for Ariel, summer program.
What's the VIA - Volunteers for Ariel program? It's about a month long program during the summer (End of June to end of July) that takes place in Ariel, Israel. During that time I will be working with children and teenagers through day and summer camps to teach them English, provide counseling when needed, and just love on them while I am there. Not only will I have the opportunity to spend with these children and students and pour into their lives, but I will have the opportunity to be placed with a local family and be poured into by them; to have a chance to see and understand their culture and their lives, and to be a blessing to them. This would be an amazing opportunity to show them not only the love that God has for them, but to show the love that Christians have for the people of Israel. Not only that, but I will have the chance to see the very places spoken of in the bible, and ultimately, I know I will see God move in such mighty ways.
My heart has always been to be in a position in life where I can serve God's children with love, support, encouragement, and guidance. I feel this season of life, God has been setting the foundation and groundwork for what's to come, and is training me to go out and do his work. I know and trust that God will provide a way for me to go where he is leading. I ask that you would consider joining me and partnering with me in this adventure to serve and minister to the children and people of Ariel, Israel and show them Christ through our love and actions. I would appreciate any form of financial assistance, prayers, or words of encouragement you can provide as I take this super exciting, and somewhat scary, adventure with God.
Thank you and God bless!
And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
