On 12/23/22 when I went to stand up, I felt a pop in my back, a rush of pain and my left leg stoped working. I crumbled to the floor unable to stand and honestly have just been trying to process what in the world happened ever since.

I initially responded to medication & was well enough to celebrate Christmas with my family. However, around 12/28 things started another quick down turn which led to an ambulance ride, 2 ER visits, a hospital admittance & emergency surgery.

I am home now recovering and just enjoyed my first sleep in 5 days! I am so thankful all of the nerve pain is gone.

What is concerning is how little use I have in my left leg. I share that to say, this is going to take a lot longer than I had hoped to recover. Lisa has taken care of me nonstop and I still very much am going to need that for the immediate future until I can walk again.

My wife Lisa and I are self employed and unfortunately aren’t going to be able to do our jobs as usual during the recovery. I’m still in shock from it all, but I want to humble myself here and give anyone who can, an opportunity to help us through this time.
