Help James Get Home to Save His Life

My name is James Pickle. For the past 22 years, I dedicated my career to helping people heal — as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I helped thousands of patients recover, regain strength, and get back to living their lives. I never imagined I’d be the one asking for help.

Four years ago, my kidneys began to fail.

What followed has been the hardest chapter of my life. I left my career. I went on disability. I fought renal disease day after day, managing medications, restrictions, and the slow, grinding reality of a body that can no longer do what it once could. Then came a divorce that took what little financial stability I had left.

But there is hope — real, life-saving hope.

Maine Medical Center has a path forward for me: a kidney transplant. This isn’t just a treatment. It is the difference between surviving and actually living again.

The problem is I’m currently in Arizona, thousands of miles from the transplant team, the specialists, and the place I call home. I have no resources left to make the move. I am asking — with every bit of humility I have — for your help.

Here’s what I need to get home and start the transplant process:

🚗 Travel from Arizona to Maine

🏠 First month’s rent and deposit on an apartment

🏥 Initial costs to begin the transplant evaluation at Maine Medical Center

📦 Basic moving and resettlement expenses

I spent my life helping people heal. Now I need a little help healing myself.

Every dollar brings me one step closer to getting home, getting healthy, and getting a second chance at life. If you can give, I am deeply grateful. If you can’t, sharing this campaign costs nothing and means everything.

Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for caring.

With gratitude,

James
