This year our family has had the joy of hosting an exchange student from Rome, Italy. What began as a cultural exchange quickly turned into something much deeper — she has truly become part of our family.

Over the past months, our daughters have formed a very special bond with her. They have shared everyday life, laughter, school & cultural experiences, and the kind of friendship that often only happens when people live together and become like sisters.

As her time here comes to an end this summer, her family has graciously invited our daughters to come spend a month with them in Rome so they can experience life with their family and see the place she calls home.

For the girls, this would be an incredible opportunity — not just to travel, but to deepen a meaningful relationship and experience another culture firsthand. Living with a family in another country offers such a unique perspective on language, history, traditions, and everyday life that can’t really be replicated any other way.

We are working as a family to make the trip possible and covering as much of the cost as we can. The girls are accepting small-job offers, have yard sale planning in the works, and hoping to do a fun fundraiser. A few friends suggested creating a page in case anyone would like to help support the girls in this opportunity.
