I’m raising funds on behalf of Kristy, a single grandmother in Lee, NY with her grandson Her Grandson was already separated from both his parents so he went to live with his Grandmother who has been fighting to rebuild a safe, stable home for her grandson.Kristy has been living in an aging mobile home that has been deteriorating faster than she can repair it. She has handled everything on her own for years — soft floors, leaks, structural issues — doing her best to keep the home together. Recently, code enforcement inspected the home and declared it unsafe for a child to live in.

Because of this, Kristy’s grandson is unable to stay with her until the home is replaced. This has been devastating for her, as she has been the one raising him and providing stability and love.

She applied for assistance programs, but the cost of removing the old home and preparing the property is more than the programs will cover. She has reached a point where she simply cannot do this alone.

I’m organizing this fundraiser because Kristy deserves support. She is a loving, hardworking grandmother who has been carrying this burden by herself for far too long. Every donation — no matter the size — helps her take one step closer to replacing her unsafe mobile home and reuniting her family in a safe, stable environment.
