Our oldest child started school during the tail end of Covid. We hadn’t worked in over two years due to the economic fallout that came at the same time. We knew as parents that this was the turning point and public school was out of the question for us.

We sought out a place for our girls who shared our values and we found a home at an amazing school—it was our family's ticket out of the overwhelming public school system that had left us feeling silenced and unheard.

Here we were, part of a vibrant community with conservative values, trying to give our children the best possible education while facing seemingly endless challenges in Colorado. The indoctrination into liberal ideologies felt like an assault on everything my husband and I fought so hard to instill at home—family traditions, faith-based teachings, and basic principles of right versus wrong.

We've been through it all: the sleepless nights worrying about their futures, the stress of endless meetings with school boards, and even the heartbreaking moments when we felt completely outnumbered by an education system that seemed to have lost its way. But amidst this struggle, there was always one thing we were certain of—we had a right as parents to make these choices for our children.

Three years later and our second has started school. Our plan to be out of this county and state has stalled, again to the economic temperatures that exist here in Colorado. The lack of funding for our construction company, the lack of jobs, and the endless bills that just keep piling up. While we struggle month to month to keep our home we also struggle to keep our children in the school that is teaching them faith and freedom. A school who has also fought against state mandates, a school who has fought against new laws being passed to be inclusive to boys in girls spaces and sports, this school is fighting to keep our choices as parents to not conform to the liberal agenda that our children can choose their gender and if we don’t abide the state will take our children. This school, has been the best place for these children and I am so afraid that we are going to lose that.

Now, it's all coming down to this: our girls need the quality education they deserve away from the indoctrination that has left us feeling helpless and hopeless at times. That’s why I launched this crowdfunding campaign—to ensure my daughters and other like-minded families can escape a system that no longer serves them, but most importantly, we want to stand strong in our beliefs as parents who have the final say over their education.
