Help Us Save the Dream He Worked So Hard For

He recently passed his Criminology board exam, and we were very proud and happy for him. It was a big achievement and the beginning of his dream of becoming a policeman. But not long after, he was diagnosed with Ameloblastoma and now urgently needs surgery.

The tumor is already affecting both sides of his jaw, and there is a possibility that he may lose several teeth after the operation. This is very painful for him to think about because police applicants need to meet strict dental requirements, usually requiring a near-complete set of teeth, and missing four or more teeth can affect eligibility.

His dream is now at risk. This has been very painful for him, as it affects both his health and his dream of becoming a policeman. He has worked so hard to reach this goal, and now this situation has put everything he’s worked for at risk.

We do have the option to go to public hospitals and apply for government assistance to help reduce the expenses. However, we are also trying to consider a more conservative treatment approach that may help preserve more of his jaw and teeth. This option is only available in private hospitals, which is why the cost is much higher.

As a family, we are carefully thinking through all possible options and doing our best to give him the best chance to recover while also protecting his future.
