Hello my daughter Kaila Rivera is a mother to two girls. She is only 37 years old and she was recently diagnosed with a plastic anemia after multiple multiple health problems. Her bone marrow went from barely functioning to not functioning at all, she is needing a bone marrow transplant as her body does not produce red blood cells at all along with all of this, Starting from a work accident in 2021 she has had multiple surgeries she had to have two brain aneurysms fixed. She’s had a knee surgery where the doctor actually severed her nerve in her leg. She has been on Worker’s Compensation since 2021 is not even enough to cover bills and barely for rent, especially in this economy at the end of April what was originally diagnosed with kidney failure was farther investigation she was officially diagnosed as stage 1 Kidney cancer she regularly gets blood transfusions and iron infusions, but until a bone marrow transplant is complete. We cannot even start to work on anything. For her kidneys, all we can do right now is hope and pray it doesn’t spread, we do have a potential match for her bone marrow transplant, but due to the nature of this auto immune disease, which is what a plastic anemia develops into after chronic anemia. Her doner is across the country so this would go to not only helping with the bills that go on with all of this, but getting her donor to Washington to have the surgery to move forward with being able to take care of the second half of her problems, they did attempt to do isolation radiation just to keep it monitored, but within 30 minutes of starting the procedure, her red blood cell count dropped so drastically that they had to stop. with the way, everything is going it’s just getting harder and harder on their family. She has a great support system, but financially it’s just in the rut.
