ABOUT THE PROJECT
Next Level Kids is a mobile sports project aimed at children and youth, designed to build healthy habits, self-confidence, and the joy of movement through modern sports classes and open-air community events.
Our goal is to reach areas where access to sports is limited—specifically smaller towns and local communities where children often lack opportunities to participate in attractive and regular forms of physical activity.
The project operates on a mobile formula. This means that sports will come directly to the children, taking place on local sports fields, playgrounds, recreational areas, and shared community spaces.
Basketball holds a special place in the project. It serves not only as a form of physical activity but also as a tool supporting the social and emotional development of young people. Sports teach cooperation, responsibility, managing emotions, and building relationships. Therefore, we want to use it to create a safe space for children who need support, motivation, and a sense of belonging.
The project also involves developing online support and education. Through video materials, instructional workouts, and motivational content, children and parents will be able to access support beyond outdoor events. This will allow us to reach young people who, for various reasons, have limited access to on-site classes or need extra motivation to stay active.
Classes and events will be conducted by licensed and experienced coaching staff, using engaging methods tailored to the age and capabilities of the participants.
The project is:
• Sports and health-oriented,
• Educational,
• Integrative,
• Preventative,
• Social.
WHY IS THIS PROJECT NEEDED?
An increasing number of children and youth lead a sedentary lifestyle. Too much screen time, limited local sports offers, and a lack of engaging forms of movement lead to a drop in physical activity and decline in the mental well-being of young people.
Data shows that only a small fraction of children meet the daily recommendations for physical activity. This issue is particularly visible in smaller towns, where the sports offer is often limited or non-existent.
Based on the experience of the Next Level – Rozwój w Sporcie (Development in Sports) Association, many children give up on physical activity not due to a lack of willingness, but because of:
• Transportation and infrastructure barriers,
• A lack of self-confidence,
• Fear of judgment,
• A preference for passive ways of spending free time.
We also see children struggling with loneliness, low self-esteem, social difficulties, or emotional challenges.
This is exactly why we want to create a space where sports do not mean the pressure of results, but rather support, relationships, and personal growth.
Basketball and team activities help children:
• Build self-confidence,
• Learn teamwork,
• Relieve tension and stress,
• Develop self-discipline,
• Discover their strengths,
• Create healthy peer relationships.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The objective of the project is to increase the physical activity of children and youth by organizing accessible, safe, and engaging sports classes and mobile events that promote an active lifestyle.
The project also aims to support the psychosocial development of participants, boost their motivation, counteract social exclusion, and build a sense of community and belonging.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The project is aimed at children and youth aged 6–16, specifically:
• From smaller towns and villages,
• From areas with limited access to sports infrastructure,
• Children who do not regularly participate in sports,
• Children who need extra motivation, support, and positive role models.
Indirect beneficiaries include:
• Parents and caregivers,
• Local communities,
• Schools and local environments.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
1. Mobile Sports Classes
The project includes delivering general development sports classes for children and youth. The curriculum will be based on:
• General development exercises,
• Movement games and activities,
• Elements of basketball,
• Developing coordination and fitness,
• Practicing cooperation and communication.
Our goal is to show children that movement can be a pleasure, a way to develop, and a space to build self-confidence.
The organized activities will be publicly accessible, open-air, and focused on sports and integration. These will be open events where children can:
• Try out various sports activities free of charge,
• Participate in mini-games and animations,
• Learn the basics of basketball,
• Spend active time with peers,
• Discover sports without pressure or competition focused solely on winning.
The classes are designed to encourage movement even among children who have had no prior contact with sports.
2. Mobile Sports Infrastructure and Family Activity Zone
The project includes creating a mobile infrastructure to support sports activities. During the events, the following will be available:
• An information point,
• A mobile technical support base,
• A relaxation area,
• A dedicated space for parents and caregivers.
We want these events to be more than just sports classes—they should be a meeting point for building local relationships.
3. Online Materials and Digital Sports Support
The project involves creating video content, as well as educational and motivational materials related to sports, health, and child development.
This will enable us to:
• Publish short workouts and exercises,
• Prepare instructional materials,
• Share knowledge regarding physical activity and healthy habits,
• Stay in touch with participants outside of field events,
• Support children who cannot always attend on-site classes.
PROJECT RESULTS
Tangible (Hard) Results:
• Organization of mobile sports classes,
• Creation of a mobile sports infrastructure base,
• Establishment of online operations and digital support,
• Development of infrastructure that will serve future social and sports initiatives.
Intangible (Soft) Results:
We assume that through participation in the project:
• Children's motivation for physical activity will increase,
• Interest in regular sports participation will grow,
• The sense of agency and cooperation skills will improve,
• Social relationships and a sense of belonging will be strengthened.
The evaluation of results will be conducted through evaluation surveys as well as observations of participants and caregivers.
SUSTAINABILITY OF THE PROJECT
The purchased equipment will remain the property of the Next Level – Rozwój w Sporcie Association and will be utilized during subsequent sports activities, local events, and future editions of the project.
The developed online platform will additionally allow us to build a library of educational and training materials, which will continue to support children and families long after the fundraising campaign concludes.
