Navy Vet Moms 35k RESET and GAURD her daughter

From a Lone Navy Mom: Help Us Reset and Secure My Daughter's Future

Hi, I'm a Navy Veteran, Aviation Ordnanceman, PTSD fighter, and the only real parent my 14-year-old daughter has ever known.

No family backup. No safety net. Just us two against the world.

I joined the Navy at 19 in 2007. Stepping off the bus in Norfolk, VA, I faced a massive steel ship for the first time—heart in my boots, but boot camp had already made me strong. That's where I met God through a small Bible that brought comfort in the dark. I served through 3 deployments (2009, 2010, 2014), securing bombs on the flight deck amid jet noise and fuel, always on guard, always thinking of home. Those experiences shaped me, especially after watching the towers fall at 14—the same age my daughter is now.

God spoke to me about my true mission: becoming a mom. I had my daughter, and everything led to her. But life tested us hard. During my third deployment, the opioid crisis took hold of her father. A satellite call shattered me: "He's using. It's not safe." I got her to safety with my mom and rushed home after 9 months that still haunt me.

I chose her over re-enlisting—honorable discharge in 2017. Just us in a tiny house, starting over. Then PTSD hit like a second war: nightmares of jet blasts, military sexual trauma, panic attacks, and a body worn from years of heavy work. The VA became another battlefield, but God kept me going for her.

Now, we're in a cycle of catch-up. I'm exhausted from playing provider and mom while managing disability, medication, and therapy. My car sits dead in the driveway. Rent falls two months behind too often. We stretch groceries until ramen nights by day three after payday. My daughter is navigating tough teen years—she deserves my full attention, not watching me cry over bills or living in survival mode.

The deepest shadow? I'm still legally tied to her father. If anything happens to me, she risks going back to him. I've found a trusted guardian who sees her like I do, but we need security now.

We need a RESET.

This fundraiser will help:

Catch up on rent and bills for stability

Repair/replace our car for reliable transportation

Cover essentials so we can focus on her teen years and my healing

Build a small safety net and guardian plan for her future

Anything helps—$5, $10, $25, or more. Even if you can't give, sharing this or lifting us in prayer means everything. God is with us, and there's always hope.

Thank you for seeing a fellow American who served and a mom fighting for her daughter. Updates will show exactly how your support creates real change.

With gratitude and God Bless

Meg**
