Save Nanny's Mobility - ( Pam Spencer)

My mom is completely wheelchair-bound only standing up for maybe a minute or two when needed.( her bones have deteriorated so rapidly that standing up or trying to do any kind of movement has only twisted her legs into an irreversible manner. They are now crooked permanently.)

Medicare failed us, leaving behind a 7 + year-old chair that's ducked taped together. It feels like yesterday at times when we would go places together , laughing and matching each other stride for stride. Now, every step she tries to take, to do what she needs, is agony; even laughter sends shivers down her spine, she has become so short that she cannot reach anything, causing her to have falls out of her current chair and also straining her very fragile body that causes more pain on top of the pain She is already in.Because her bones , spine etc have deteriorated so much, her height went from 5’4 to 4’4.

But here’s the thing: despite all that she endures –Severe osteoporosis that has made her bones so fragile, you feel like you’re going to break a bone if you squeeze to hard to hug her, fibromyalgia, three types of arthritis, stage-three kidney failure, and chronic pain syndrome( she lives in pain 24-7); my mom's spirit remains unbroken. She greets everyone with a smile, her voice as warm as ever, even when every word is laced with pain.

I see the world through her eyes now more than ever before. Her laughter at her own clumsiness somehow echoes my fears and hopes, making me feel both lighter yet heavier all at once. She's not just 'my mom'; she’s also Nanny to so many who adore her boundless spirit.

That’s where you come in, You see us – the family that clings tight despite life's twists and turns; the woman whose laugh fills our hearts yet strains her body; Her children , grandchildren, and great grandchildren who desperately want to help but lack the resources. ( my mom has many needs, but this chair right now is the biggest one.) this chair will not only allow my mom to be lifted by 12 inches so that she can reach everything she needs, including getting into her car because my dad has severe lung problems and it is difficult for him to be able to help my mother.

Your help isn't just buying an electric wheelchair; you’re fueling my mom's ability to move, offering her dignity in mobility. Every dollar counts towards getting her into that chair – and from there, She can has the possibility to go anywhere she dares dream about: the park, a movie, or simply out for ice cream with loved ones who cherish every moment spent together.

I share this not just as someone pleading for help but as an invitation to be part of something bigger – a movement where kindness and compassion trump all limitations life throws our way, My sweet mom has had so much thrown her way and it breaks my heart.

Together, we've got the power to create hope against all odds. Thank you for being part of my mom’s journey towards comfort and independence. She really is the glue that holds the family.

Thank You ( Her Children)

Melissa, Stephen, and Nick ( she has so many grandchildren, and great grandchildren too who need, adore, and love her deeply)
