Since Machias Valley Christian School (MVCS) reopened its doors in 2018, we have grown, Praise God, and have been able to add a grade every year. As we currently stand, we have pre-k through 4th grade. As a school board, our goal and vision is to have a school beginning at pre-k through 8th grade.
We have been operating in the Hemenway Annex building that Machias Valley Baptist Church has graciously allowed rent free. It has four classrooms, one bathroom, two offices, and a kitchenette. It has met our needs the past four years. Not only are we running out of room, but we also need to outfit the building with a life saving sprinkler system.
Phase One (complete Summer 2023) of this campaign is to raise funds to install the sprinkler system in the current school building.
Phase Two is to build an addition with more classrooms, bathrooms, and an indoor recreational area with a kitchen.
How Can You Help?
Pray for MVCS: God hears our prayers and knows our needs.
Give: Every dollar makes a difference.
Volunteer at MVCS: MVCS has a great Parent Teacher Committee that can always use extra hands!
Talk About Us: Word of mouth is the best way to spread our mission and to let families know there is an alternative option to public school in Washington County.
You only have to look as far as the faces of our children to realize the importance of securing our future. With our vision in mind, it is our ultimate goal and of upmost importance to continue to give our children a Biblical foundation and continue to glorify God!
