I am a widowed mother of 2. At the end of March I fell out of a moving vehicle going 60 miles per hour. I had to be life flighted to the nearest trauma center. I suffered 3 fractured ribs, fractured right femur, fractured C7 that also caused swelling around my spine that was crushing from C2 to C9, and a brain injury so severe I couldn't remember my own children and zero memory of what happened. The hospital didn't run my insurance because I couldn't remember anything so they released me less than 24 hours after my accident, just to be served with a 3 day eviction notice because my landlord hadn't been paying for the house in over a year. I am back in my home state but now I have bills from North Carolina and Virginia (life flighted from NC to VA), still in a great deal of pain even doing the simplest of tasks, jobless, and homeless. My children are living with their great grandmother while I get things back in order. The funds would be used for medical expenses and a place to live to be reunited with my children so we can go back to our normal lives after putting ourselves back together after their father/ my husband was murdered in 2020.
