🌟 Hello, friends! My name is Missy, and I’m here to share a deeply personal journey that has touched my life in ways unimaginable. As many of you know, being a mom isn't just about the cuddles and giggles—it’s also about facing unexpected challenges with resilience and courage.💪

Remember when we all celebrated our little miracles? Well, for me, those moments were tinged with fear because I was told that having my child could be nearly impossible due to my health conditions. We had Aria, our now 8 year-old, full of life and energy I’ve been lucky to be her mom since she was 2! And just two years ago, there was Austin, our miracle the spunky wild baby who made our family complete.❤️

But as you can imagine, raising these beautiful girls isn't always a walk in the park—especially when facing chronic health issues like mine. Diabetes has been part of my life for 27 years now, and dealing with diabetic retinopathy and kidney disease has been incredibly tough. It’s not just about managing medications or doctor appointments; it affects every aspect of our lives.

Just last year, I had a seizure that left me fighting for breath on life support. That was terrifying—for me, my husband, my sibling and parents. But here's the miracle part: against all odds, after eight long days, I pulled through! However, this journey has taken a toll not only emotionally but financially too.💸

The cost of healthcare is staggering, especially with so many miles to travel for pre and post follow-up appointments. And unfortunately it looks like I’ll soon be on dialysis as I wait for a kidney transplant (yes, pancreas included!), I find myself at yet another financial crossroads. The out-of-pocket expenses are daunting—from medications and hospital stays to traveling back and forth to different doctors.

I’m sharing this not just because it’s personal but also because there is something each of us can do about these challenges: help make a difference in the lives of my girls and countless others facing similar hardships.🙌
