The Underlying Problem Needs Specialist Evaluation and Possible Surgery

The most important part of my treatment is addressing the underlying neurological/structural problem associated with my spina bifida.

I have been given an estimated cost of approximately:

€130,000 — about EGP 7.74 million

for the required surgical treatment related to my spina bifida and the cyst affecting my nerves.

The purpose of the evaluation and possible surgery is to address the neurological/structural problem according to specialist medical assessment.

I want to be completely honest with everyone who considers supporting me:

I cannot promise that surgery will make me walk again.

I do not want to make a medical promise that no doctor has guaranteed.

What I am asking for is the opportunity to receive the specialist evaluation and treatment that my doctors believe is appropriate after years of living with this condition.

I Lost My Income in 2021

I worked.

I tried to support myself.

I tried to live as independently as possible.

But in 2021, I lost my income.

I also lost an employment compensation case against my former employer, and I was unable to obtain compensation that could help me deal with the financial burden I now face.

I do not have significant debt.

My problem is different:

I simply do not have enough income to cover food, medical care, medication, transportation, and the other basic costs created by my disability.

Government healthcare options have not provided me with a practical way to cover the major medical procedures and treatment expenses I need, including surgical and medical costs that are not financially possible for me to pay myself.

My Mother Is Also Sick

I live with my family.

My mother is 71 years old and is also seriously ill.

She suffers from kidney disease, heart failure, diabetes, high blood pressure, and gout.

Despite her own age and medical problems, she has been carrying part of the burden of supporting me.

One of the hardest things for me is knowing that my mother is sick herself while still having to help provide for me because I cannot currently provide enough for myself.

My Electric Wheelchair Is Broken

My electric wheelchair is currently broken.

For someone who can walk, a broken wheelchair may sound like an inconvenience.

For me, it is completely different.

My wheelchair is my mobility.

It is one of the few things that allows me to move independently and participate in daily life.

Repairing or replacing it is therefore an important part of restoring some independence.

Why Am I Asking for Help Now?

I have lived with my disability since birth.

I tried to work.

I tried to support myself.

I tried to continue with my life despite pain, physical limitations, and medical complications.

But since losing my income in 2021, the combination of growing medical needs and the absence of adequate health insurance has taken me to a point where my personal resources are no longer enough.

I am not asking for help because I stopped trying.

I am asking because I have exhausted the options available to me.

And those options were already very limited because of my disability.

The greatest thing I have lost is not money.

I lost my ability to work and earn an independent income.

I lost the ability to leave my home on my own.

I lost the feeling that I could confidently plan for an ordinary future.

I Do Not Want to Depend on Donations Forever

This is extremely important to me.

I do not want to spend the rest of my life asking people to support me.

I want this campaign to be a bridge from dependence to independence.

After the most urgent medical needs are addressed, I plan to dedicate part of the funds to creating a sustainable income-generating project that I can realistically manage with my physical limitations.

I have not chosen the final project yet.

I do not want to promise donors a business before I know that it is medically, financially, and practically realistic.

The project will be selected based on:

1. My physical abilities.
2. The amount of capital actually available.
3. My existing skills and experience.
4. My ability to manage it from home or in an accessible environment.
5. Its realistic potential to generate sustainable income.

I have estimated approximately €25,000 — about EGP 1.49 million for this initial independence fund.

The purpose is not luxury.

The purpose is to give me a chance to earn my own living again.

My goal is for this to be the last time I ever need to ask strangers for financial help.

My Goal Is Bigger Than My Own Recovery

If I receive the treatment and support I need, I want to return to work.

I want to study.

I want to build an independent source of income.

And eventually, I want to build something that can help other people with disabilities learn practical skills and find ways to earn an income.

I know what it feels like to want to work while your body puts limitations in front of you that you cannot simply overcome through determination.

I do not want other people with disabilities to feel that they have no options.

I want my experience to eventually become something useful to someone else.

How the EGP 16,000,000 Goal Will Be Used

I am setting a total fundraising goal of:

The funds will be used according to medical urgency and actual needs.

1. Spina Bifida-Related Surgery and Specialist Treatment

Approximately EGP 7,735,000

Based on an estimated surgical cost of €130,000.

2. Grade 3 Pressure Ulcer Treatment

Approximately EGP 1,309,000

Based on an estimated treatment cost of €22,000.

3. Urinary Tract Treatment

Approximately EGP 178,500

Based on an estimated treatment cost of €3,000.

4. Ongoing Medical Care and Living Needs

A significant portion of the goal is reserved for ongoing medical expenses, including:

1. MRI and other imaging.
2. Urine tests and laboratory investigations.
3. Medical consultations.
4. Medication.
5. Wound care and supplies.
6. Treatment when the pressure ulcer worsens.
7. Treatment of urinary complications.
8. Transportation and medical-related expenses.

My medical and living needs can reach approximately €5,000 per month during periods when additional treatment, imaging, complications, or worsening of my condition occur.

My current electric wheelchair is broken and needs to be repaired or replaced so that I can regain basic mobility and independence.

6. Building a Sustainable Source of Income

Approximately EGP 1,489,000

This corresponds to an initial allocation of approximately €25,000.

The exact project will be determined after evaluating my medical condition, abilities, skills, and the capital actually available.

7. Medical and Financial Contingency

The remaining funds will provide a necessary reserve for medical complications, changes in treatment costs, exchange-rate changes, additional investigations, mobility needs, and other essential expenses directly connected to my situation.

I have set the goal at EGP 16 million because my needs extend beyond one operation. I need a realistic path that addresses the immediate medical crisis while also giving me a chance to become financially independent.

I Have Medical Documentation

I do not expect people to believe my story simply because I wrote it.

I have medical reports, scans, laboratory tests, and other documentation related to my condition.

I can provide appropriate supporting documents to verify my medical situation and the costs described in this campaign, while protecting sensitive personal information such as national ID numbers and private records.

I also want to be transparent about the medical outcome:

No recovery outcome is guaranteed.

The goal is to obtain the appropriate specialist evaluation and treatment based on medical advice.

What I Am Really Asking For
