On New Year’s Eve in Paw Paw, Michigan, Matt was seriously injured in a tragic car accident. He had stopped to help someone who had gone into a ditch when a pickup truck struck him head-on.

Matt is currently in critical condition. He has suffered a skull fracture, a ruptured spleen, a pelvic injury, and a brain stem bleed. He is in surgery as we speak and faces a long and difficult recovery ahead.

Matt is a devoted father and the sole provider for his family. This has turned their world upside down in an instant.
