Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you are already aware of the unexpected passing of my father, Dr. Mark Bechtel. While our hearts ache, we rejoice that he is reunited with his Lord and Savior. His compassion, quirky humor, and humble spirit have remained a consistent theme throughout our lives. We greatly appreciate and want to thank everyone for the stories shared and continued love, prayer, support that we have received during this time.

In honor of our father, we have set up an Endowment/Donor Advised Fund to help continue his passion of serving others and showing God’s love through medical missions. Please read the mission statement below and consider joining us in honoring his legacy in this way if you feel led to do so.

With Gratitude, The Bechtel Family

Fund Mission Statement

The Mark H. Bechtel Mission Fund's mission is to equip and support aspiring medical professionals in developing a heart of service and spreading the gospel through participation in mission trips. Our goal is to provide financial assistance for students and trainees to gain practical experience and broaden their perspectives in healthcare while also sharing the love of Christ with those in need. We believe that by investing in the education and experiences of these individuals, we can inspire a lifelong commitment to serving the less fortunate, both locally and globally. Our fund values ethical and sustainable practices in healthcare and encourages diversity in the mission field. Through the Mark H. Bechtel Mission Fund, we hope to make a positive impact on the future of global health while sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ with those who are hurting.
