Hey there, friends and family! I wanted to take a moment to share something really close to my heart—a story that has been both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It’s the tale of Maddie Hurdle, our brave 6-year-old warrior who's fighting for her life against Stevens Johnson Syndrome/Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). 😷

Last week was a shock when we first learned about TEN—a rare, life-threatening skin reaction that has left poor little Maddie with over 50% of her skin lost. Her strength and courage in the face of this challenge is nothing short of miraculous! 🙏

But here’s where it gets even tougher: while Maddie battles this tough illness at the hospital, everyday costs like basic necessities are piling up for our family. It feels almost cruel that we should have to worry about money when all we want to do is focus on Maddie getting better! 🙈

The smallest things—like goods, toiletries, and even transportation—have become huge hurdles in these trying times. The family has had to get help just to make ends meet during this crisis and the motor of their car gave out right when they needed it most... 😓
