Good evening everyone! Tuesday, March 24 between 2:00-3:00 we headed to the hospital not knowing what lay ahead. Tuesday, May 5 exactly 6 weeks later between 2:00-3:00 we left the hospital for home! But we are so happy to be settled in at home as a family tonight! We appreciate your prayers as we adjust to life in Listowel again.

Fundraising for Hailey and Lowell Wideman

UPDATE Apr 8/26- Today was a day of a some answers. The biopsy results finally came back and Hailey has Hodgkin's Lymphoma Stage 4. It is considered Stage 4 because of the fluid around the heart and lungs she had. It is a common cancer for this age and it is very curable. Hailey will start her first treatment tomorrow and it will be every 2 weeks. After the first treatment is done and she responds well and they are happy with everything then we will pray it is time to go home🙏🏻

UPDATE April 4/26 Hailey moved from St Mary’s to Grand River Hospital. The removal of her breathing tube and less sedation has her more communicative. They are awaiting biopsy results for a more targeted treatment but have started some chemotherapy to keep it in check. A big thank you for all the support! 

This a call to action and an opportunity for anyone willing to support the Wideman family with their fight against cancer. In March of 2026 Hailey was diagnosed with cancer with treatment starting as soon as possible.

Hailey 23, and Lowell 24 were married in July of 2024 and welcomed their first child Chace Conan in November of 2025. All of ours hearts ache for their suffering through this difficult time, it will be a community effort to care for them from supplying food, finances, prayers as well as helping them with their 4 month old son.
