Glory to Jesus Christ! Brothers and Sisters in Christ let us come together as a Church to help our newly baptized sister in Christ Elizabeth and her 5 children who all together were accepted into Holy Orthodoxy on December 7th. Elizabeth set out for Christ despite her hesitant husband who sadly has fallen prey to the enemy. Right now Elizabeth is the sole provider for her and the children, and she needs our help because on her income she cannot provide enough to keep up with the mortgage and electric bills, amongst other things. They are already behind on the electric bills. She is waiting for assistance from the state, as you all know that takes time. She applied for food stamps and was approved. She is starting school in March and will be taking student loans to make up some of the money and the tax returns will help. This money will help them keep their home, keep their lights on, and provide some mental and emotional relief to their struggles. Church is their one safe haven in the eye of the storm so she makes sure to budget some money for gas as they drive 40 minutes to our parish.

As you know our enemy satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Let us stand against him and not let him do anymore damage to this family! Let us pray for Elizabeths husband, that he may turn from his ways and be the father and husband he was for the past 7 years. Let us help with what we have, prayers and treasures alike! For where your heart is there too is your treasure.
