July of this year, 2025, we learned that our second child, Leona Mae Allen (age 10, turning 11 this August of 2025), has rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare type of soft cell cancer, manifesting as tumors behind her nose and on her neck.

To provide a place for our friends and loved ones to follow the story of her treatment and recovery, and to provide a platform for donating whatever you are moved to share to help us cover her medical bills, as well as the many incidental costs of her care (gas, meals, etc.), we have started this page.
