In May 2027, our brother José Carlos Vera will be ordained a Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, configured to Christ the High Priest as an Alter Christus, to serve God’s people at the altar.

We hope to gift him beautiful vestments worthy of the dignity of the priesthood and the sacred mysteries he will celebrate. They will be hand-crafted by the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, whose work is rooted in prayer and a deep love for the priesthood.

Our goal is to raise $15,500 to commission five daily Mass vestment sets, one in each of the five principal liturgical colors. Each set will include a matching chasuble, stole, maniple, chalice veil, and burse. In addition, we will commission three sets of sacred linens for mass, along with a funeral pall.

Your support will help provide José Carlos with beautiful vestments that honor Christ and His Church, and will be used in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
