Jed Kinnunen was born at Children’s Hospital on February 25th after Alyssa was airlifted from Buffalo Hospital. He has multiple heart defects and since his birth, has undergone 4 procedures to increase the size of his aortic valve which was critically blocked and open his atrial septum which needs to stay open for his overall current heart condition. Due to these heart issues already while in utero, the condition of his lungs in the long term is a concern, as well as his pulmonary arteries being too narrow. Jed will likely need open heart surgery prior to being able to go home. 

He has regained a more normal use of his heart and the size of his heart, which was large, has started to resume more of a normal size along with functioning better.

We live with hope for his long term health, and pray that he would be able to overcome these, seemingly, many obstacles by the caring hands of the surgeons and doctors. We trust that God’s will would be done through them. 

Jed’s family thanks you for your prayers and support, as Donovan and Alyssa are spending as much time as they can at the hospital while caring for Jed’s older siblings, Emma, Kayden, Callie and Jenna. 

Donovan hasn’t been working in both caring for Alyssa and their 4 children, along with dear Jed. This fund was made to try alleviate their worries in this area and any donations are greatly appreciated!
