Ianna's transition from bike to automobile!

Hi all! I'm reaching out to a small group of our church family that I have either already heard from as well as those that may have the means to help one of our own at the Foundry. If you aren't already aware, Ianna Enget's car broke down awhile ago and it wasn't possible for her to cover the cost to fix the car to make it safely drivable again. She was very thankful for the vehicle she had been driving and it served her well, but she has now been without a car for over a month. During this time, she has been trying to save as much as she can on her own, even without having a lot of "extra" left at the end of the month after her basic living expenses. I've talked with a few people that expressed interest in helping to donate towards a car for Ianna, but some would prefer to donate anonymously. Rather than trying to figure out how to be the collection person and be accountable for donations and figure out who wants to be anonymous, etc., creating this page seemed like the best way to reach out, let people know what I'm trying to do, and also allow those to give anonymously if they wish to do so. To be honest, I am proud of her for not immediately running out and getting a big loan and going into debt like so many would be tempted to do, in her situation, but instead she is choosing to try to save the money and trust the Lord to provide in His time in order to replace her car.

Thank the Lord for bicycles! Ianna has been riding her bike everywhere that she can, but as you can imagine, biking somewhere out of your local area is not always feasible. I've talked with her a bit about her situation and I think a great goal would be for her to get near the 6K-7K range (her own savings combined with possible help from others) to ensure that she would be able to purchase a reliable vehicle soon that will last another few years at minimum.

Would you consider partnering with Scott and I to help Ianna out, however much or little we can? If you want to donate, but would rather write a check or give cash, let me know, but I think this online platform is fairly easy to use. I pray that someday the Foundry's budget will allow us to have the means to pay all of our staff the true value of what they do. Specifically, Ianna, as you know, is responsible for leading the ministries of our kids, the youth and the young adults at the Foundry. I can personally testify that she spends many "unseen" hours in addition to what is seen, investing in the next generation of our church body - sharing the love of Jesus with them and helping each one of them (from infants to the young adults) know how special and valuable they are to the Kingdom of God.

Let me know if you also know of another way to help, for example, if you know someone selling a reliable used vehicle that Ianna could look into, once she has saved enough to purchase something. Thanks for taking the time to read this and feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or other ideas on how to help Ianna out.
