It wasn't just a neighbor in need; it was me, and I couldn't have foreseen how severely my own life would be affected by those fiery moments. After extinguishing most of the blaze, I paid the price: significant smoke inhalation left me coughing unable to breath. There was more—a compound arm fracture in my dominant hand meant that even basic tasks became daunting challenges along with a severe head injury

Life hasn't been easy since then. My apartment is uninhabitable due to smoke damage, with a broken compound dominant arm, I wait to see the surgeon. I am left limping through daily activities—a far cry from anything easy.
